The PIE-MO Industries Association, together with PHIVIDEC Industrial Authority, celebrated its 35th Anniversary on August 26, 2016 held at the PIA Auditorium Administration Building, MCT Complex. The locator representatives gathered together as one to commemorate their partnership with PIA for letting them establish their businesses in the PIEMO - Special Economic Zone. The locators and PIA employees got to mingle and enjoy each other’s company.
The locators were given plaques of appreciation, alongside with them are Ms Hyessa Suegay, Engr. Manuel Kionisala, and Atty. Rowena Billano.
A program was then followed through with Ms. Fritzie Joyce T. Gacutan from FDC and Mr. Rey Felix Salva from PIA as the event’s emcees. Ms. Hyessa Suegay, Corporate, Planning and Business Development Department (CPBDD) Acting Manager, then acknowledged the guests and introduced the PIA officers.
The awarding of Plaque of Appreciation to the locators was then headed by Ms. Hyessa Suegay, CPBDD Acting Manager, Atty. Rowena Billano, Support Services Department (SSD) Manager and Engr. Manuel Kionisala, Estate Management Department (EMD) Manager. Mr. Augustus Adis, PIEMO Industries Association President, delivered his report to everyone about the community projects and fellowship of the PIEMO Industries’ Association for the past months. He said that they are willing to help PIA in times of need and will be there to support the agency. He brought up the challenge to let PIA step up their game and grab this opportunity to attract locators here in Mindanao for this current administration’s president is a Mindanaoan.
The guest speaker for the event is the FDC Utilities Inc.’s Misamis Power Corp. SVP and head, Mr. Juan Eugenio Roxas. He expressed his gratefulness to partner with PIA in order to meet FDC’s mission to bring electricity load to Mindanao and avoid the rotating brownout incidents. He even wished to wear and have the blue polo shirt that the locator’s were wearing during the event.
Atty. Jewela Boiser, VP External Affairs of PIEMO Industries Association, did the closing remarks for the event. Fellowship and dinner were then held afterwards with a band providing entertainment to the guests. A raffle draw was held shortly after the fellowship, where both the guests and PIA employees got a chance to receive gift/prize from the locators.
